Anyone who has been on the internet for any length of time has heard of Anonymous and has a general idea of what it is and how it goes about making the videos they post on the internet from time to time. Timothy C Holmseth now claims to have received one demanding that he remove all of his blogs and social media websites from the internet.

There is a slight problem with this particular claim, however.

Normally, when Anonymous produces one of these videos, they put it on their own youtube channel. The reason is that they seek to reach a wide audience with whatever message they wish to produce. In most cases, they do not send their message solely to a single individual for it defeats their intent to make their wishes known to the public at large. In Holmseth”s case, the video only appears on HIS youtube channel.

Is there a different explination as to where this video came from and who really made it?

If you go back to my earlier articles concerning multimedia content on Holmseth’s website, you will see that he created at least two songs using the voice of the now deceased Johny Cash. The voice in the songs were clearly NOT his.

This is not the first time a video purported to be from Anonymous has appeared on Tim Holmseth’s Youtube channel. This rather odd video appeared on his channel in June of this year.

It is because of his experteese in creating this kind of material that makes me suspect that the Anonymous video is nothing more than a publicity stunt. I strongly feel Timothy Holmseth has created the video to gain support for him in his strange crusade on his various internet websites.

Holmseth has always used the third person to write about himself and his theories. He made the articles appear as if it were someone else writing about him.

Holmseth wanted to create the illusion that he had a lot of people rallying behind his cause. It is these factors that has caused me to doubt the video is genuine.

Holmseth would need to provide clear cut proof that it was the REAL Anonymous that made that video and not himself.

The proof may well come within a week or so since Holmseth is not likely to remove anything but instead will continue his defamation of the innocent victims of his conspiracy theories. If no blog appears condemning Holmseth, then this may well be a hoax. Or Holmseth may well create the blog to redicule himself in order to gain more support.

Thus is the paradox named Timothy C Holmseth.

If anything can prove how easy it is to make unproven accusations on the internet, Timothy C Holmseth’s media empire is a prime example. For years this conspiracy theorist has accused me of being a pedophile and being involved in one way or another in having something to do with the fate of at least two missing and deceased children.

In a twitter post just a few hours before this writing, he posted this on his twitter page:

Creep Van Lawyer involved with missing Florida children – hands on contact with kidnapped child. “

Tim Holmseth does not seem to understand or care the kind of damage that this causes to innocent victims of his theories.

Because of the websites he mentioned in his conspiracy blogs, I have lost a business that put a dozen people out of work and caused me to lose my home. I have also been threatened doxed and swatted twice by members of Anonymous.

One Anonymous associate residing in southwest Lake County Florida cost me several thousand dollars with a stunt he pulled a couple of years ago.

I have asked Holmseth to provide proof of his accusations only to be met with his claim that his information is secret and he would be arrested if he were to release it.

What this nonsense is, is an excuse to prevent him having to provide the proof to back up his accusations against me and others and thus be exposed as a pathological liar.

What Holmseth is doing is dangerous. He is putting the safety and security of a lot of people at risk by constantly posting these false narratives. There are many vigilante groups, some heavily armed, who would be more than willing to dole out their perceived mission to eke out justice against the accused.

One of these days, someone is going to get killed because of Holmseth.

Timothy C Holmseth has been going on a tirade for almost a decade, claiming to have proof that hundreds of people are behind what happened to Haleigh Cummings as well as a number of other children.

He has claimed time and again to have secret recordings that would cause him to get arrested if they were to be released. The only way this could happen is if he had committed a crime such as being the person who kidnapped the children or was involved in some way as an accessory.

Just the opposite is true. If Holmseth were to have evidence that would solve these crimes, he could be arrested for NOT releasing the information to law enforcement and charged with obstruction of justice.

The simple fact is that Holmseth has no secret recordings on a flash drive or anywhere else for that matter. If he had, this information would have been made public years ago.

When confronted with these facts Holmseth turns to 5th grade playground name calling and the making up of more false accusations in order to divert his readers from the simple fact that he has nothing to offer in the way of proof.

His internet is nothing more than an elaborate fiction created in his own mind.

In the early 1950’s there was an effort to help Europe recover from the ravages of World War 2. It was called The Marshall plan. General George C Marshall created an advisory panel that eventually led to creation of the relief effort.

Much like Puerto Rico, the European infrastructure was devistated and getting supplies where needed was thought to be impossible. Marshall and his group overcame many obsticles and delivered millions of tons of supplies to a desperate continent in short order.

While all modes of delivery were utilized from ships to trucks to airplanes and trains, the fastest and most effective delivery method was by parachute. Thousands of aircraft flew 24/7 making pin point drops to the worst hit areas in Europe.

It should be no problem in this day of modern aircraft and methods of delivering on the spot supplies to a devistated people. I am shocked that this has not happened already.

It is time for the bickering and politics to stop immediately.

Get a “Puerto Rican Marshall plan” into place right now.

It would seem that Timothy C Holmseth is quite a busy beaver. I received a response from the Sheriff regarding my request for copies of corrospondince between him and Holmseth. He did state that it would be possible to grant the portion of my request pertaining to Holmseth but not about the case itself since it is still active.

Mr. Murtaugh,

The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office is in receipt of you records request. Any documents that contain information related to Haleigh Cummings are still considered part of an active investigation and are not being released at this time. It should be noted that Mr. Holmseth has sent hundreds of emails to various agency members throughout this investigation. I alone received approximately 50 emails from him back in 2009 right after Haleigh Cummings went missing, and still receive occasional emails from him .  It should be noted that reviewing and copying  all of the emails and correspondence sent by Mr. Holmseth could be a very lengthy process and costly to you. Are you looking for a specific document?

I have not looked at his website in many years, but back in 2009 he would post copies of everything he sent us on his website.

What I DID find interesting is this portion of the letter which gives a clue about how he feels about Holmseth and his efforts:

” It should be noted that Mr. Holmseth has sent hundreds of emails to various agency members throughout this investigation. I alone received approximately 50 emails from him back in 2009 right after Haleigh Cummings went missing, and still receive occasional emails from him .”

Now one would think that if Holmseth had communicated any REAL evidence in those hundreds of emails that law enforcement would have acted accordingly. The fact that law enforcement has done NOTHING in regards to what Holmseth has written speaks volumes about what law enforcement thinks of him.

A few years ago my surname MURTAUGH started to appear in various movie and tv productions. It has happened and still happens a LOT. I know of at least 8 movies and a dozen tv show where my surname appears.

Ordinarily this would be something to use as an interesting ice breaker at parties or something to use as bragging rights. The problem, in my case, is this has become something of a problem.

A few years ago, mainly because of the Leathal Weapon movie franchise, some internet trolls started posting claims that I was impersonating a US Marshall. They apparently got the idea for this rumor from the movie series.

In another case, a photo of someone wearing a military uniform with the MURTAUGH name patch appeared on my Facebook page. It was from a movie but someone posted it there as if I was claiming to be in the military. Facebook eventually removed it at my request.

Rather than put two and two together, people who read these posts believed the rumors and expanded upon them. Recently a conspiracy theorist by the name of Timothy C Holmseth has used this same claim to attack me once again.

Slowly people are beginning to realize how these rumors got started but this fact somehow escaped Timothy Holmseth and others like him. It is a common fact that rumors get started the same way fish stories do.

The fish gets bigger and the circumstances more embellished each time the story is passed on. This sort of thing has even hit the mainstream media and is referred to as “Fake News.”

The reason these stories proliferate and gain creadability is that the readers and audience do not take the time to fact check to see where the information came from. If they bothered to do so, they would be shocked to find how out of control the rumors have become.

In the hands of an abusive blogger, having one’s name being used in a movie can have inintended and disasterous consequences.

The term I use in the title of this blog article is one that I do not use lightly. I use it because Timothy C Holmseth fits the definition of the term perfectly. Over the last decade or so he has engaged in writing conspiracy theories concerning missing and murdered children.

His actions have caused unnecessary harm to an increasing number of people including public servants and members of the law enforcement community starting at the local level and working up through the federal level and even into the intelligence community.

Mr. Holmseth first came to my attention several years ago when I saw a blogger out of Atlanta Georgia constantly writing about him. The blogger in question was also writing about a group comprised mostly of grand mothers, married and single mothers and others concerned about the fate of Caylee Anthony. Their interest was primarily in boycotting any effort by Casey Anthony or her family to make money off of the death of Caylee.

Rather than engaging in a frank and mature discussion of her disagreement with the group’s actions, the blogger engaged in personal attacks of each member of the group. She published personal information on her blog that was extensive enough to pose a danger to themselves and their families due to the sick predators that populate the internet.

I objected to the blogger doing this and voiced my concerns. The price I paid for doing this continues to this day. Immediately after I discussed the situation about the blogger in question, she went on the attack. I became her primary target. Quite suddenly a great deal of false information about me and anyone who was my friend started to appear on her blog.

Shortly after the attacks began by the blogger, I was put in contact with Kim Picazio a Florida lawyer who had come to the aid of the biological mother of another missing child, Haleigh Cummings.

Things did not go well between me and Mrs. Picazio. I objected strongly to her take on the situation with the blogger and we soon engaged in a private battle between us that lasted several years.

The battle ended, strangely enough, when she found out that the blogger had actually been secretly pitting both friends and foes against each other. The blogger had been creating troll accounts that she used to feed false information to parties engaged in all kinds of disputes.

The parties included Timothy C Holmseth, his enemies and his allies.

Once this information became public, the infighting against all involved came to a screeching halt. Today, the blogger has gone dark. There has not been a word from the blogger in months.

Timothy C Holmseth, for some odd reason decided to fill the void and start things up again. He has a bit of a problem, however. He has engaged in the same kind of behavior against Mrs. Picazio and as a result had a court order issued against him prohibiting him from contacting Mrs. Pickazio, her family or anyone associated with her legal firm. He is also prohibited from mentioning her name in any manner whatsoever.

He now refers to Mrs. Pickazio as (REDACTED) in an attempt to avoid being arrested for being in violation of the court order which is permanent.

It turns out that there is at least two more of these court orders in place as can be noted simply by reading the scores of blog articles he has written over the years. He will either leave the names blank or he will post (REDACTED) along with clues about who he is talking about in his articles.

A few years ago, for reasons that escape me to this day, Mr. Holmseth started attacking me personally. He used the same false information that the Atlanta blogger used against me for years. He even reported me to the Minnesota law enforcement agencies where he resides.

Mr. Holmseth apparently forgot that it was my defense of HIM that got me into the situation I was in and am still in today.

Timothy Holmseth has made some rather bizarre accusations against me. As is my habit, I counter these kinds of accusations in an attempt to defend my reputation against these false accusations.

I have suffered both personally and financially in the past from these false accusations and since Holmseth has a new but small audience, I felt it necessary to state my side of things on this blog.

Mr Holmseth, rather than putting up any kind of proof to back up his accusations (other than the false narratives created by the aforementioned blogger) with solid evidence has gone on the offensive using his conspiracy theories and using so called facts that he has made up out of thin air.

In his latest article his so called facts have gone so far into the abyss that I cannot even figure out what the heck he is talking about. For instance there is this:

“The attorney is allegedly using a media agent named William K. Murtaugh who drives a creep van and has been interjecting himself into missing child cases for nearly a decade.”

He keeps accusing me of being a media agent, whatever that is. I am a retired truck driver. I have absolutely no educational or professional background as a journalist or as a press secretary which is the closest description of the term he is using. I am certain that if Mrs. Pickazio were to employ someone to do what he is accusing her of, she would pick someone more qualified to do the job.

Holmseth further confuses the situation with this tidbit:

“According to multiple sources, the ‘creep van lawyer’ is very dangerous and sadistically starved her/his own child until the little girl was hospitalized – near death – from malnutrition.

One source possesses documents that show she was a former employee of the ‘creep van lawyer’ and asserts the lawyer is involved in selling stolen babies.

There are two problems here. First, I never had a daughter. This is a fact anyone who knows how to do records searches can obtain rather quickly. Second of all I employed nobody. As I said, I am a retired truck driver.

Holmseth also keeps referring to me as a “creep van lawyer.” and is accusing me of all sorts of things involving the use of my live truck. Mr. Holmseth calls the van a fake. This demonstrates his lack of ability to check out the facts that a TRUE and ETHICAL journalist would. The fact is this. I used to operate a business that as part of its business model leased customized commercial vehicles. In this case, media vans (known in lay terms as news vans) to various broadcast outlets throughout the United States and Canada.

My normal practice when the vehicles came off lease was to remove the broadcast equipment from the trucks and then sell both the equipment and trucks separately through wholesale auctions.

When the Caylee Anthony case broke, I happened to have a live truck that had come off lease and rather than sell it, I decided to use it to live stream from it. I was one of the only non commercial live stream mobile webcasters anywhere in North America doing so at the time.

I still have the live truck but it has not been driven in years and will likely never never will be. It is old, obsolete and expensive to operate. This is another fact that Holmseth constantly gets wrong.

Moving on:

Timothy Holmseth uses as his “evidence” so called revenge websites where people will post “damaging information” about their victims. The websites do not vet the information for being factual and state that in their disclaimers. They make money from hate through ads placed on the various websites.

Mr. Holmseth then brings up the tired old accusation that I impersonated being in law enforcement specifically that I claimed to be a United States Marshall. What is odd about this accusation is that it would make no sense for me to claim such a thing. The reason being is what exactly a United States Marshall is and how he/she gets the job.

So, how did this rumor get started?

Strangely enough, it is because of a movie, in fact quite a few of them. Ever hear of the Lethal Weapon movie and TV franchises? Would you care to guess the name of the character of the black cop in that movie?

My surname has been used in several movies (Team Murtaugh) was a term used in one movie; Cheaper by the dozen.

My Surname has been used on quite a few tv shows and even on General Hospital it was the surname of a Canadian Mountie.

For whatever reason, someone picked up on that piece of trivia and accused me of impersonating people in law enforcement. The cost if unintended fame, I suppose.

Now how did what Holmseth used in his example come about? If he had bothered to check the facts he would have found out.

Several years ago, a friend of a friend over in Melbourne, Florida found himself the victim of a Nigerian romance scam. He had been exchanging emails with someone who claimed to be a woman who wanted to leave the country but could not afford airfare to come and see him. This is a common scam that victimizes thousands of men and women each year.

I was asked for help and decided, along with some friends in Colorado to see if we could enlighten people as to what was going on. We exposed the scam. For whatever reason, the scammer or someone like him posted what appeared on Google chat and the rest is history.

What Holmseth does not seem to realize is that because of 9-11 and similar crimes, law enforcement takes impersonation of them quite seriously. If I had been guilty of doing what Timothy C Holmseth accuses me of, I would be in prison right now and not writing blogs.

Just because my surname gets used in the movies and on tv does not mean I am impersonating  police officers. A little common sense goes a long ways  to dispense all of these wild accusations by Holmseth and others.

Try and use a little common sense when judging what both I and Holmseth write.

Well, I will say one thing for Timothy Holmseth, he is one persistent little bugger. He has sent a letter to the Putnam County Florida Sheriff’s department repeating his main theory about what happened to Haleigh Cummings.

On his website, Holmseth published a redacted version of the letter he claims to have sent to the Putnam County Sheriff. If Holmseth sent a version of the letter to the sheriff that was NOT redacted, I will be able to obtain a copy under the Florida open records law.

When I obtain the true copy of the letter, I will publish it in my blog unmodified. If the names have not been redacted, they will be published. If names are redacted in his letter to the sheriff (which would be self defeating on Tim’s part) I will publish it as written.

One notable fact that one must face about the “award winning journalist” by the name of Timothy Charles Holmseth is that he is flat broke and for the most part, living off the back of  Minnesota taxpayers.

I find it somewhat surprising that someone who has a background as a professional journalist and with the use of rather sophisticated social media applications would have such a hard time finding even a moderate paying job in the various jobs he would be qualified to fill.

This revelation about Holmseth’s financial situation came about when I obtained the document that Holmseth filed wanting taxpayers to cover his various legal expenses resulting from his attempts to have the judgement against him removed.

Holmseth claims to be making roughly 1000.00 per month in income before taxes. His total out of pocket expenses are around $330.00. This leaves him with the remaining income amount with which to pay for food and other basic needs. He also owns a car that is worth around $1000.00

What is important to note is what Holmseth leaves OUT of his financial statement. I have been informed that Holmseth is living in subsidized housing.

This means that his apartment rent is paid for by the taxpayers. He is also qualified for and is likely reciving food stamps. In addition, there are medical benefits he is eligable for under both state and federal law.

Holmseth is also leaving out of his financial statement that he accepts donations on his various social media websites and people have sent him money. Legally this is not considered income but it is notable that he has attained sizable donations by those few individuals who support his actions.

I simply cannot understand why someone with the talent and resume that Holmseth has cannot find some kind of productive way to contribute to society while at the same time providing an income for both himself and his family.

What Holmseth does not seem to know is that there are jobs out there for freelance writers. They pay fairly well from what I understand:

I wish I had the same talents Holmseth has when it comes to writing skills as well as having “awarding winning journalist” in my resume. But I do not. I am simply an elderly retired truck driver that writes occaisonally on a small blog.

I only wish that I was as young as Holmseth and had his resources at hand. I certainly would be doing something more productive than writing conspiracy theories for no pay and delivering pizzas.

The biggest reason that Timothy C Holmseth is NOT a good journalist is because he allows his bias to ignore leads that might possibly add a new dimension to the missing child cases he writes. Holmseth is fixated on a specific group of suspects in his conspiracy theories and thus will ignore any person of interest that does not fall in line with his theories.

I had planned to go into a great deal of detail into someone that I feel needs to be closely looked at as a person of interest based on his criminal record and his many connections to those around at least two missing or murdered children.

I changed my mind simply because I do not think that Holmseth is qualified to do the proper investigative journalism to determine if my lead is worthwhile. I happened to obtain some court papers and what I found in the papers convinced me that Holmseth would not be able to do a proper investigation of the lead I have even if he were motivated to do so.

I will get into the details of my reasoning along with the aforementioned court papers in my subsequent article which I will write within the next few days.

To sum up this article let me go into a little background of the person I have in mind as a person of interest. The individual is known to put links to child pornography on the internet. He is known to joke about rape and violence against women. He has posed as a member of Anonymous.

He lived within 10 miles of the mother of Trenton Duckett and claimed at one time to have personally known her. He was alleged to at one time to have claimed to either have known Casey Anthony and also claimed to have been in touch with the Anthony family.

The invidual started following missing child cases as early as the Jessica Lundsford case and probably prior to that perticular case. He used to hang around on a now defunct forum out of Tampa, Florida and then migrated to Websleuths.

He was deeply involved with actions on which involved the use of voice changer software available through there as well as making prank phone calls.

It is also alleged that this individual obtained links to child porn through contacts within that website.

The last known whereabouts of the individual in question was said to be Pansacola, Florida. Ever since he was questioned by law enforcement about certain actions by him on the internet a few years ago, he has not been heard from. He is nowhere to be found on the internet and nobody seems to know where he is.

Now if Tim Holmseth can figure out who this person is and decides to look into HIS background, he just might go a long ways to solving a good number of missing child cases.

Now the question is, “is he up to the task?”
